after a ride cymbal with a five piece set what is the next step to building a set i also have a crash

What you add to your set is a personal thing. Some players like to have lots of cymbals, others prefer 2 or 3 tops. Some want a 4th tom. Some add a double-bass pedal.

The question you need to ask yourself: What kind of music am I playing?

Once you have an answer for that, buy the pieces that fulfill that question.

Ya i agree with you i do like lots of cumbals though so i bought a ride 20 inch im going to get a knew snare because the one I have obviosly does not fit the set well and im been thinking about another tom preferably a free standing lower on as low as the averadge floor tom
